Company webstore pricing, published.

Four things make up the cost of a company webstore. Three of them are flat, published rates you can read right here. The fourth is the merchandise itself, which we quote per piece.

What a webstore costs

A company webstore has four cost components: the store platform, warehouse setup for the product you inventory, monthly storage and per-order fulfillment, and the merchandise itself. The first three are flat, published rates. Merchandise is quoted per piece, the same as any swag order.

ComponentWhat it coversHow it’s pricedWhen you pay
1Store platformHosting, maintenance, and the store itselfFlat and published$75 to $199/mo, $150 to $350 setupSetup once, then monthly
2Warehouse setupGetting each product into the system and photographedFlat per product$10 setup, plus $7.50 a photoOnce, before the store opens

Components 1 through 3 are the same whether you sell hoodies or hard hats, so we publish them. Component 4 moves with your catalog, so we quote it. Start with a ballpark below, then read on for the rate behind every line.

Estimate your cost

Answer three questions and we’ll price the store plan, warehouse setup, and monthly storage: what it costs to open the store and what it costs to keep it running. Per-order fulfillment and merchandise are quoted separately, because both depend on what you sell and how it moves.

Setup is exact at published rates. Monthly storage is a range, because how much shelf space a catalog needs depends on how deep you stock it.

Not included: per-order fulfillment (from $1.50 + $0.30 a piece), the carrier's own charge from FedEx or USPS, and the merchandise itself (quoted per piece).

      1. The store platform

Prodigy store plans are flat, published prices: Prodigy Connect at $75/month ($150 setup), Prodigy Build & Connect at $75/month ($350 setup), Prodigy Portal at $135/month ($350 setup), and Prodigy FlexONE® at $199/month ($350 setup). Every plan includes unlimited orders and no transaction fees.

      Store planMonthlySetupBest for
Prodigy Connect$75$150Fulfillment behind the Shopify or WooCommerce store you already run
Prodigy Build & Connect$75$350We build you a Shopify or WooCommerce store, then you run it
Prodigy Portal$135$350We host and manage the store. Multi-location distribution with roles and approvals
Prodigy FlexONE®$199$350We host and manage the store. Internal distribution and retail sales together

The split that matters most is who hosts and runs the storefront. With Prodigy Connect and Prodigy Build & Connect the store stays yours to host and run, on Shopify or WooCommerce. Prodigy Portal and Prodigy FlexONE® run on our servers and we manage them, which means we can take over an existing WooCommerce store but never a Shopify one. Full plan-by-plan details, including integrations, roles and approvals, and card processing, live on the FlexONE™ page, and our Help Center breaks down the store types and pricing (opens in a new tab) side by side.

Every plan includes a dedicated Account Manager. One named person who knows your program, reachable by phone, text, or email whenever something comes up. They review how the store is performing, handle catalog changes, and keep it current as your program grows.

      Which plan fits?

Answer four quick questions and we'll recommend the best store type.

      2. Warehouse setup

Product you stock in our warehouse is set up once before the store opens. Setup is $10 per product to build it in the store and the warehouse system, plus $7.50 per storefront photo. A product is one item however many sizes it comes in, and the charge is one-time, not recurring.

Variations are where this matters. A shirt you stock in five sizes is five SKUs but one product, so it carries one setup charge and one photo. If a second colorway needs its own picture on the storefront, that counts as another product.

This only applies to product you inventory. Items you run on demand are decorated and shipped as they’re ordered, so they never occupy a shelf and never carry a storage line.

      3. Storage and order fulfillment

Stocked product is stored by the bin or the pallet, from $1.25 per bin and $7.50 per pallet a month. Every order that ships is picked, packed, and sent through FlexONE™ at $1.50 plus $0.30 per piece, or $15 plus $0.15 per piece on bulk orders of 31 items or more. Both are billed at the end of each month.

      Per pallet1–5$20.006–10$15.0011–20$10.0021+$7.50

You don’t need to work out your own bin and pallet count: the estimator above does it from your SKU count.

Rush$25.00Same-day handling ahead of the queue

The bulk rate counts loose items, so a case-quantity order is not billed as bulk. Those rates cover our work to pick, pack, and ship. The carrier’s charge is separate: FedEx and USPS postage is billed on top at the rate for the service and destination. Orders for stocked webstore items ship within 2 business days or shipping is on us, and over the last 10 years 99.2% of webstore orders shipped within 1 business day.

      Occasional service fees

These come up now and then rather than every month, and they’re listed here so nothing arrives as a surprise later.

      4. The merchandise

The products themselves are quoted per piece, exactly like any decorated product order. Garment tier, decoration method, and quantity drive the number. What changes on a webstore is when you pay: stocked top sellers are an upfront inventory investment, while on-demand items are paid as they’re ordered.

Top sellers sit pre-produced in our warehouse so they ship fast. Niche items stay print-on-demand, which keeps cash out of slow-moving stock. Most programs run a mix, and choosing that mix is most of what a discovery call is for. The promotional products pricing guide explains the levers that set the per-piece number.

What a typical program looks like

Prodigy has launched 90+ company webstores since 2006, with 30+ live today, typically for mid-market and enterprise companies running $50K–$500K+ branded merchandise programs. Most stores launch within five weeks of the discovery call. If your annual spend is small, a store may not pay for itself yet, and we’ll tell you that in the first call.

Want the full picture before you book a call? The Complete Guide to Company Webstores walks through catalog design, the stocked-versus-on-demand mix, how programs get funded, the five-week launch timeline, and the questions worth asking any provider.

      Frequently asked questions

Can you take over a store we’re running with another provider?

Yes, and we do it regularly. Moves like this are quoted individually, because the work depends on where you’re starting: how many SKUs come across, whether existing inventory transfers into our warehouse, what platform you’re on today, and how much of the catalog changes on the way over. Tell us who you’re with now and we’ll scope the move and price it for you.

Who do we contact once the store is live?

Your dedicated Account Manager. Every webstore program gets one named person who knows your catalog and your calendar, reachable by phone, text, or email, backed by the team that runs your store and your fulfillment. They check in regularly to review performance, handle changes, and keep your catalog current.

Why is store pricing published when product pricing isn’t?

Because store plans are genuinely fixed. The software and the fulfillment service cost the same whether you sell hoodies or hard hats. Product pricing isn’t fixed: the same item varies with quantity, decoration, and timing, so we quote it exactly instead of publishing a number that would be wrong.

Do we pay storage on everything in the catalog?

Only on what you stock. On-demand items are decorated when someone orders them, so they never occupy shelf space. A catalog of 60 items might only inventory the 15 that actually move.

Which plan do most companies need?

It comes down to who runs the storefront. Already have a Shopify or WooCommerce store? Prodigy Connect adds fulfillment behind it. Want us to build one you’ll run yourself? Prodigy Build & Connect. Want us to manage the store as well as the warehouse? That’s Prodigy Portal for internal distribution across locations, or Prodigy FlexONE® once anyone pays by card.
