Prodigy runs its own screenprinting, embroidery, and heat-press production in Lindon, Utah, which means tighter quality control, faster turnaround, and one accountable team from artwork to delivery. When a job needs a method we don’t run in-house or extra capacity, we lean on trusted partners.
Why in-house matters
When decoration happens in your own building, you control the schedule, the quality checks, and the fix when something’s off. No waiting on a contract shop across the country, no finger-pointing between vendors — the press operator and your account manager share a roof.
It also means straight advice: our team will tell you when embroidery beats print for your jacket, when a budget tee will fight your art, and when the cheaper method is genuinely the right call. We blend in-house production with global sourcing, so you get the right product decorated the right way.
The methods, and when to use each
Screen printing
Ink pushed through a mesh screen, one screen per color. Vibrant, durable, and increasingly economical as quantity climbs — the workhorse for t-shirts and event runs. Setup (screen) fees are per design and color, so they amortize away at volume.
Embroidery
Thread stitched into the garment, priced by stitch count. The premium look for polos, jackets, and headwear — texture that reads quality at arm’s length and outlasts the garment itself. The same logo gets digitized once and stays consistent across every reorder.
Heat-press
Printed transfers applied with heat and pressure. Full-color detail, individual names and numbers, lower-volume runs, and on-demand personalization — no screens to burn, fast setup, decorated when ordered.

Which decoration method should I choose?
As a rule of thumb: screen printing for t-shirts and volume, embroidery for polos, jackets, and anything that should read premium, heat-press for full-color detail, personalization, and small or on-demand runs. Most programs mix methods. We recommend the right one per garment when we quote.
What artwork do you need from us?
Vector artwork (AI, EPS, or a true vector PDF) gives the cleanest result at any size. If all you have is a screenshot or a low-res file, send it anyway. Art prep is part of the job, and you’ll approve an exact mockup before anything gets produced.
Can you match our exact brand colors?
Yes. We work in the Pantone Matching System, so your brand color is a numbered ink formula. The same PMS number produces the same color on every run, every reorder, every product that can hold it.
